Chubby Narwhal Amigurumi Pattern

Friends,

I present to you my latest pattern:

The Chubby Narwhal Pattern!

Let me share with you where my inspiration came from. My son – who is absolutely obsessed with Ben Clanton’s Super Narwhal & Jelly Jolt series. (You need to get this for your kid ASAP. They will LOVE it).

He reads these books obsessively and well, that’s where it came from! I wanted to make my own “chubby” version. I love squishy toys and I wanted something he could cuddle and play with.

Thank you so much to all of my testers who made this in a hurry so I could release the pattern today. I appreciate you all so very much!

I also have my chubby series for those of you that are dipping your feet in amigurumi. I remember the early days of wanting to make my own toys and I felt so overwhelmed. I hope that these patterns encourage you. I am always happy when people reach out to me to let me know their experiences with my patterns. I love getting to know all of you! I’m the most active on instagram, so feel free to say hi, ask questions about the pattern (especially if you get stuck!) and don’t forget to share your pics. 🙂

Xo,

Annie

Back to Basics: How to read a yarn label

Good (rainy) morning from Hong Kong.

I’m starting a series called “Back to Basics” to show you how I crochet/knit. I want to be very clear that I am not a professional and that this is how I do my craft. With that said, I love sharing what I have learned and always love learning new things as well. 🙂

Today we will start off with reading a yarn label. Everything is on label itself – the weight, length, what size needle or hook, material and care.

Please take a look at my video to see how to read one and if you happen to have yarn on you and want to follow along. Please feel free.

If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe (like and comment to let me know what you want to see next) on Youtube! Hope you enjoy the series and see you next time.
